Bicycle Culture
Client: Sjees
A.D.: Nanda Verpaalen, Bas Meijerink
About: The art of omission ????! You know: I like to bring my illustrations back to the essence, I remove the superfluous. And sometimes the overobvious. No need to draw a bicycle on the cover of a magazine on bicycle culture, right? ;) Especially since the theme is the fact that the Dutch, regardless age and social class do anything (anything? Yes, Anything!) on the bike, it's is so self-evident, such a natural part of our daily life we don't notice, we take for granted the same thing that bewilders foreigners. Cover illustration for Sjees, founded, created, art directed by Nanda Verpaalen & Bas Meijerink, thanks guys!
