About: A husband madly in love with his wife, even after many many years of marriage, knew his wife likes my work a lot. I know this sounds like the notorious email scam many of my colleagues and myself have received over the past couple of years. But this one was legit ;) I never think of my work as independent art, I’m an illustrator and I do illustrations meant to be published in context. However I often get request for prints of existing work and I like my work best if the illustrations have the quality of living on their own. This man however wanted me to create something especially for his wife. I thought that was so sweet. I think it was the first time in my 23 yr career that I took on a private commission and I had a lot of fun creating it
